we are two ladies, once neighbors in korea, who spent many a morning together hiking the korean mountains… and somehow, the conversation always turned to food. on one of these memorable mornings, the idea came up to make a cookbook and that afternoon we found ourselves sitting in jessica’s tiny kitchen, drawing up a plan over a cup of tea. the kitchens of pinch and dash was born!
each of our four cookbooks (fall, winter, spring, summer) focuses on healthy, whole foods… real food! all recipes are vegan and gluten-free and were created, tasted and photographed by us – PINCH and DASH – in our home kitchens in seoul. born out of the kitchen creativity essential as expats in a foreign land (no avocados or lime?!), our little books are filled with food, photos and stories inspired by the seasons that so greatly influence the way we live and eat. made with love from our kitchens to yours.
we have both since returned to our homelands but no matter where the wind takes us, much of our free time is spent at the local markets perusing the fresh produce and experimenting in our respective kitchens.while danielle (dash) indulges in mixing aromatic flavors in a complex palette, jessica (pinch) leans on the side of simplicity in her culinary creations. together, we think we make the perfect team :)
